Phillip Michael Atwood

Phillip began his training at Avara's Academy in Baltimore where he received his first license. He then went to apprentice at the Corbin Salon with "5 time Best of Baltimore Stylist", Corbin. Phillip spent 5 years working along side Corbin while honing his craft. Throughout the years Phillip has attended extensive training at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica and also at the Redken Color Exchange in New York City. Phillip then came to Federal Hill to fulfill his dream of opening up a hair salon. Phillip is a master barber, precision cutter, and color and highlight expert, as well as a Master Certified Brazilian Blowout Stylist. He has been doing hair in Baltimore for over 24 years. Phillip opened his own studio 15 years ago and it has become one of the premiere salons in the city. Phillip Michael Studio has been featured in countless local publications and is a booming, family business.

 

Mary Frances Blomme

Mary Frances Blomme is the owner of Phillip Michael Studio Bridal and the lead hairstylist. She has twenty years of experience in the fashion industry. Mary began her career with a four year apprenticeship after which she received her senior cosmetologist license and opened her first salon at the age of 21. She has been an educator for some of the industry's top color lines and has also been a platform stylist, teaching other industry professionals how to do updos. She has a loyal following of both male and female clients that trust her to keep them current and looking their best. Mary has been a stylist on many high fashion shoots for The Baltimore Sun and several wedding magazines. She has been featured for her amazing styling skills and product knowledge in Wedding Wire's look book, Wedding 411 and many wedding blogs all across the country. Her work is second to none when it comes to creativity, function and photo ready looks. Let her help you love your look!

 

Brian Oliver

Brian's formal training was at Vidal Sassoon in London after doing an apprenticeship in New York City under Roger Thompson, the former creative director at Vidal Sassoon. From that point on he established himself at a few top salons in New York City, including Louis Licari, Warren & Tricomi and Pierre Michel. To hone his editorial styling work, Brian worked with designers such as Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and Micheal Kors, as well as magazines including Harpers Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Brides. He returned to the Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia area three years ago and continues to work in New York City as well as with the Phillip Michael Studio team.

 

Erin Leader

Erin has 17 years of experience in the hair industry, obtaining his license after completing two years of apprenticeship. In addition to working “behind the chair” Erin has also had extensive experience as an educator for companies such as Keratin Complex, Keune, Babe Hair Extensions and others. Erin also spent a few years on the other side of the industry working as a Brand Manager/Educator for Thermafuse. Specializing in color, texture services, extensions and styling, Erin brings his knowledge and expertise to his clients, helping them achieve a personalized and unique look that is all their own. Erin has spent time on the platform at shows and events helping to bring advanced skills to other stylists. He has had experience with editorial work, giving him an edge when it comes to creating individualized styles for events and photography. Erin is excited to bring his passion and skills to the Phillip Michael Studio and Phillip Michael Studio bridal team.
